Built Daily was created to help you achieve those goals. Through a community of thoughts and ideas, we can keep the fitness momentum moving forward towards a shared goal of healthy and fit.
Meet the Man Behind BuiltDaily.com
Hey there, my name is Tony Schober, and I too am passionate about fitness. If you’re reading this about page you probably want to know a little more about the site and who I am.
That being said, I’d like to share a little info about me and about my philosophy on fitness.
First, let’s touch on some of the personal highlights:
- Husband and Dad to 4 kids (3 step-children and 1 of my own)
- Certified personal trainer
- Founder of Schober Media
- Toastmasters member
- Food activist working towards keeping our food healthy, affordable, and accessible to all
- Former binge eater
- Previously competed in soccer, football, basketball, baseball, weight lifting, and track
- Currently a powerlifter/bodybuilder, functional strength enthusiast, and healthy lifestyle promoter
The Built Daily Philosophy
Over the years I’ve noticed many things about people’s fitness lifestyles – some good, but some bad too. Throughout the blogosphere there is a huge division of thought on the right way to eat, exercise, and be healthy.
Most people have only good intentions, but passions can quickly turn aggressive – leading to a defensive attitude towards their own fitness ideals.
I want to change all that. We all have the same goals at heart. We want to be fit and healthy, and we want to see others be the same. There is no need for hostility. There’s a place for every health philosophy, eating style, and training program at the proverbial fitness table.
I have had the opportunity to talk to and help thousands of people reach their goals. And if I’ve learned anything, it’s that people can be successful eating and working out any number of different ways.
Whether that means low-carb, Paleo, Crossfit, Atkins, IIFYM, HIIT, bodybuilding, Zumba, bootcamps, low-fat, or running, I’ve seen them all work. The key to each person’s success was in them finding an eating/workout style that they could turn into a long-term lifestyle.
What you’ll soon realize on BuiltDaily.com is that I try to write with an open mind, but with a slant towards science. I also try to motivate and inspire, as I believe those are keys to long-term success.
But that doesn’t mean science is the only thing that matters. I’ve seen circumstances defy studies. Knowing this, I do my best to balance both science and real life experiences. Because in the end, getting results is what’s important.
